Salon Safety Update

At Samantha James Salon, we’re committed to keeping you safe as you return to the services you’ve come to know and love. Rest assured that we’re taking COVID-19 very seriously and are doing our due diligence to remain in alignment with the procedures outlined by the CDC and Infection Prevention Specialists, specifically as they pertain to Salon and Spa environments.

Here are the measures we’re taking to ensure our collective safety:

Cleaning and Disinfection Procedures

All high-touch surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected before each client arrives and after each client leaves using the CDC-recommended disinfectants. The process will involve between 2-10 minutes of contact time between the disinfectant and the surface to effectively inactivate, or kill, all pathogens present.

These high-touch surfaces include:

  • Entry/ Exit

  • Work Stations and Product/ Aerosol Containers Shampoo Bowls + Backbar

  • Treatment Rooms

  • Nail Area

  • Restroom

  • Payment tablets, phones, etc.

  • Product Shelves

We will continue to abide by the CDC’s recommended laundering procedures for porous materials (capes, towels, linens, etc.), which includes laundering every porous material after use with detergent and a high heat wash cycle, then drying until hot-to-the-touch, leaving no moisture or dampness. We’ll keep all linens securely covered until use. As an additional precaution, we’ll be use a powerful UV C light disinfection lamp to clean the room.

Your Next Appointment - What to Expect:

  1. Contact will be extremely limited. Hugs and handshakes will not be allowed for the time being.

  2. Please continue to practice social distancing within the salon. We have ample space to accommodate you.

  3. You will be asked to wash or sanitize your hands upon entry into the salon.

  4. Your temperature will be taken using a touchless thermometer and you will be asked a series of government-mandated questions to help confirm your health status before you take your seat.

  5. Magazines and self-serve concessions will be temporarily unavailable.

  6. Our staff will wear masks and we ask that you please do too.

  7. Walk-ins will not be permitted. You must make and confirm all appointments prior to arrival

NOTE: We reserve the right to decline services to anyone showing symptoms and will kindly ask any symptomatic person to leave the premises immediately. We will gladly reschedule the appointment once there is confirmation from a doctor (via note) that the person has returned to good health.

Thank you for your patience and continued patronage of Samantha James Salon. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Sincerely,
The Samantha James Salon Team
